Choose your STU application route
Use these study routes to plan your application. Review the institution and application choices in checkout before ordering. Do not assume that one voucher, price or delivery status applies to every route.

Higher National Diploma study across technical and business fields. Use the HND requirements for your intended discipline.
BTech / degree

Top-Up and other applications
Confirm voucher coverage for advanced entry, mature and postgraduate applications before paying. The programme guide does not confirm a separate voucher is on sale.

Sunyani Technical University BTech & degree programmes
Four-year direct undergraduate entry is different from entry with an HND or other tertiary qualification. STU BTech programmes span the fields in the directory; the degree notice also lists BSc options. A programme appearing in a four-year list does not establish a two-year Top-Up option.
Direct undergraduate study
Check the published core and relevant elective requirements for your selected BTech or BSc. Computing, engineering, built-environment and business choices may require different subjects.
- BTech Water & Sanitation Engineering
- BTech Agricultural Engineering
- BSc Climate Change and Smart Agriculture
- BTech Applied Mathematics
- BTech Construction Technology
STU BTech Top-Up and advanced entry
An HND in a related discipline may support advanced entry or BTech progression. Qualification relevance, classification, work experience where required and departmental assessment matter. Confirm the entry level and duration with STU; not every degree has a Top-Up route and not every HND holder automatically enters Level 300.
Sunyani Technical University Diploma programmes
Diploma in Real Estate is listed in STU’s published programme information. Confirm its current intake and entry requirements. Diploma is not another name for HND.
Historical Diploma information
Earlier materials have included Computerised Accounting, Banking Technology & Accounting, Electronic Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Procurement & Materials Management and Business Studies options. These historical names are not confirmation that applications are open for every programme in 2026/2027. Ask STU to confirm the exact current award before buying.
STU postgraduate programmes
The School of Graduate Studies coordinates MTech and MSc study. This section is for programme research; it does not confirm postgraduate voucher coverage or an open intake.
Selected engineering MTech areas
- Structural Engineering
- Water and Sanitation Engineering
- Road and Transportation Engineering
- Telecommunications Engineering
- Automobile, Plant and Production Engineering
Other postgraduate study
Published areas also include Construction Technology and Management, Marketing, and Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Confirm the qualification, relevant prior degree, departmental assessment and current intake.
STU admission requirements by applicant type
Start with your qualification and intended award. General eligibility is only the first check: relevant subjects, programme rules and departmental assessment still apply.
WASSCE applicants
Check English Language, Mathematics, the required science or social-studies subject and relevant electives. Direct degree entry and HND entry use different grade rules. Match your results to the exact course rather than another applicant’s subject combination.
HND entry requirements
Entry requirements may vary by programme and applicant qualification. STU’s published HND guidance treats some core-subject grades differently from direct-degree entry. Do not assume that every HND route requires A1–C6 in all three core subjects, or that any D7 is automatically acceptable. Confirm the relevant core and elective combination for your programme.
SSSCE applicants
Use the SSSCE requirements for your award, including the relevant core and elective passes. Do not substitute WASSCE grade labels or assume every programme accepts the same subjects.
Technical / TVET applicants
STU provides applicable technical and vocational pathways. Compare your exact certificate, trade, core subjects and electives with the current programme requirements. Equivalency and admission are not automatic.
HND holders
An HND in a related discipline may support advanced entry or BTech progression. Qualification relevance, classification, work experience where required and departmental assessment matter. Confirm the entry level and duration with STU; not every degree has a Top-Up route and not every HND holder automatically enters Level 300.
Diploma holders
Progression depends on the Diploma, results and relationship to the intended programme. Request the applicable entry level and any additional conditions; a Diploma does not automatically provide the same progression as an HND.
International applicants
Ask STU to assess your qualification and confirm any equivalency, language and application-category requirements before ordering. This guide does not assign Ghanaian grade equivalents to foreign qualifications.
Does STU accept D7?
A D7 is not a universal yes or no for STU. Eligibility depends on the programme level, the subject carrying D7, your other results and departmental conditions. HND core-subject rules can differ from direct BTech/BSc credit requirements. Check your complete subject combination for the exact programme; a voucher purchase cannot guarantee admission.
STU cut-off points and minimum eligibility
Do not treat aggregate 36 as a universal STU programme cut-off. Baseline eligibility and competitive selection are different. This page does not invent course-by-course cut-off points; confirm required subjects, programme conditions and selection criteria for your intended course.
STU mature applicants
STU publishes a mature-entry route for applicants aged at least 25, with proof of age, relevant work experience and an entrance examination. Confirm the document rules and any interview requirements for your programme. Current mature entrance examination dates should be confirmed for the 2026/2027 admission cycle.
Before you start your STU application
Check that your name matches your academic records. Use a phone number and email you can access, confirm your programme and entry route, and review every field before submission. Keep your Serial Number, PIN and application confirmation secure. Only prepare mandatory documents specified for your actual route.
